Abstract
⺠An α-l-rhamnosidase gene (rhaL1) was cloned from Alternaria sp. L1. ⺠We displayed rhaL1 on the yeast cell surface. ⺠RhaL1-expressing yeast cells were used as immobilized enzyme. ⺠The yeast cells hydrolyzed 85% naringin in grapefruit juice at 60 °C for 10 min. ⺠The yeast cells could be reused for 10 batches with hydrolysis rates all above 80%.
