Abstract
▸ An efficient pretreatment method using NH4OH-H2O2 and ionic liquid (IL) was developed for the recovery of cellulose from sugarcane bagasse (SCB). ▸ [Amim]Cl reduced the crystallinity index of SCB. ▸ The pretreatment did not have a negative effect on subsequent bioethanol fermentation.
