Abstract
► Pseudomonas otitidis, a newly isolated strain has the ability to accumulate PHA. ► Produced co-polymer P3(HB-co-HV) contains higher PHB than PHV. ► Dehydrogenase and phosphatase activities showed good correlation with PHA production. ► Kinetic studies on the growth of bacteria were substantiated with PHA production. ► PHA production using acidogenic effluents significantly reduces the production cost.
