Abstract
⸠Intracellular storage was observed under continuous substrate feeding. ⸠Rate/magnitude of storage varied as a function of substrate nature and composition. ⸠Dual substrate feeding resulted in utilization of acetate for direct microbial growth. ⸠Increasing the sludge age did not affect the stoichiometry of PHB and glycogen. ⸠Acclimation sustained microbial fractions capable of storing PHB and glycogen.
