Abstract
⺠RSM and ANN models were used for analyzing and optimizing of the biosorption process. ⺠ANN had better prediction capability than RSM for adsorbed amounts of lead from aqueous solution. ⺠Black cumin as biosorbent was firstly investigated for removal of lead ions from aqueous solutions. ⺠Biosorbent mass was the most significant factors that affect the removal of lead. ⺠Black cumin can effectively be used for the removal of lead ions as a potential biosorbent.
