Abstract
⺠Beet and black strap molasses are two promising wastes for biohydrogen production. ⺠Single stage photofermentation produces hydrogen from sucrose-based wastes. ⺠Yields are similar to those of more complicated two-stage systems. ⺠High sugar concentrations cause a toxic pH decrease.
