Abstract
⺠A new hybrid catalyst was synthesized and tested for biomass conversion to levulinic acid. ⺠The physico-chemical properties of hybrid catalyst were investigated. ⺠Optimization of levulinic acid determined via response surface methodology. ⺠Efb and kenaf were tested for their potentials to produce levulinic acid. ⺠Compositions of efb and kenaf were determined to evaluate the efficiencies of the process.
