Abstract
⺠A facultative anaerobic bacterium, Bacillus sp. GZB was isolated and characterized. ⺠Biodegradation and mineralization were investigated in detail. ⺠Metabolites of BPA were identified and doubly confirmed by authentic standards. ⺠Two standards were synthesized and three initial intermediates were quantified. ⺠Estrogenic activity transition during BPA aerobic degradation was investigated.
