Abstract
⺠Selection of a fungus for use in rotating biological contactor (RBC) for remediation. ⺠Biochemical and degradation properties of biofilms of selected Dichomitus squalens determined. ⺠The role of MnP and laccase in degradation of anthraquinone dye proven. ⺠The fungus degraded anthraquinone and phenothiazine dyes in RBC with >90% efficiency. ⺠The fungus tolerant to bacterial stress by coliform and non-coliform bacteria.
