Abstract
⺠Kinetic coefficients Y, kd and k were not affected by salinity. ⺠Value of Ks was significantly greater than the one for normal or salt free wastewater. ⺠Granule formation needs a central core as a basis for bacteria growth. ⺠The core can be produced by minerals and colony of protozoa.
