Abstract
⺠Step-feeding can effectively enhance N removal in TFCWs. ⺠Sufficient bed resting time is the key factor to maintain effective nitrification. ⺠Up flow/delayed side stream are key factors for better denitrification. ⺠A theoretical approach can be used to estimate the distribution fraction.
