Abstract
⺠A novel biodegradable carrier composed of PHBV and PLA was prepared. ⺠The carrier could serve as biofilm carrier and carbon source for denitrification. ⺠The average nitrogen removal efficiency achieved 94.11%. ⺠DOC in the effluent finally drops to 1.19 mg/L. ⺠Kinetics study suggested TOC releasing is independent of denitrifying.
