Abstract
► We fabricate a novel graphene-modified carbon cloth anode for Pseudomonas aeruginosa MFC. ► Graphene modification improves the power density and energy conversion efficiency. ► A parallel bioelectrocatalytic mechanism is proposed for a mediatorless MFC. ► Graphene significantly promotes bacteria growth on electrode. ► Graphene greatly stimulates bacteria to produce more mediating molecules.
