Abstract
⺠Regenerated cellulose membranes showed high potential to recover galactoglucomannan (GGM) from spruce sawdust hydrolysate. ⺠By the 5 kDa regenerated cellulose membrane, the purity of the GGM increased from 48% to 63%. ⺠Filtration by the 10 and 30 kDa membranes facilitated partial separation of xylan from the GGM rich fraction. ⺠By the 5 and 10 kDa membranes lignin partially removed from the GGM rich fraction.
