Abstract
⺠A newly isolated alkaliphile able to efficiently produce l-lactic acid. ⺠Produced l-lactate with high yield, high production titer and high optical purity. ⺠Used inexpensive peanut meal as nitrogen source. ⺠Used sodium hydroxide as the neutralizing agent preventing environmental problems.
