Abstract
⺠BMP assays were performed at different TS concentrations of poultry litter waste. ⺠The specific methane production was 145 ± 14 L CH4 kgâ1 VS with 1% TS. ⺠Bioaugmentation and thermochemical pre-treatments were made to improve hydrolysis. ⺠Pre-treatments have contributed to a significant increase in waste solubilisation. ⺠Conversion of soluble organic matter to methane was the limiting step.
