Abstract
⺠Rapid pyrolysis of paddy residues was carried out in a fluidised-bed reactor with a glass wool hot vapour filtration unit. ⺠The effects of pyrolysis temperature and the use of a glass wool hot vapour filter were investigated and reported. ⺠Characterisation of biomass from paddy residues was performed. ⺠Characterisation of bio-oil was performed using various analytical techniques. ⺠The use of glass wool hot filter could improve bio-oil quality.
