Abstract
► During the period a total of about 10 million cubic meters of POME was produced. ► In 2002 the POME produced had the potentially generate 16.1 million m3 of biomethane. ► If the biomethane is untapped, 0.70 million tCO2-eq will be released in 2020. ► Biomethane from POME can supplement the energy needs of the palm oil industry.
