Abstract
⺠During the period a total of about 10 million cubic meters of POME was produced. ⺠In 2002 the POME produced had the potentially generate 16.1 million m3 of biomethane. ⺠If the biomethane is untapped, 0.70 million tCO2-eq will be released in 2020. ⺠Biomethane from POME can supplement the energy needs of the palm oil industry.
