Abstract
⺠Nitrogen dynamic was studied during aerobic treatment of fine organic fraction of municipal solid wastes. ⺠Evolution of different groups of microorganisms was investigated. ⺠Nitrification occurred only during the maturation stage. ⺠Ammonia-oxidizing bacteria were responsible for ammonia oxidation during treatment.
