Abstract
⺠We study the enzymatic saccharification of cellulosic fibers at cm-scale. ⺠Homogenizing enzyme distribution gives faster liquefaction and saccharification. ⺠Mechanical strength results correlate with both liquefaction and saccharification. ⺠Signal changes in magnetic resonance images correlate with liquefaction. ⺠Homogenization of enzyme at cm-scale is paramount to efficient saccharification.
