Abstract
⺠The life cycle of bioethanol produced from rice straw were evaluated. ⺠Two types of rice straw, three energy scenarios and three primary were considered. ⺠The net energy consumption, CO2 emission and production cost are estimated. ⺠Energy consumption, emission and cost are dependent on feedstock and scenarios. ⺠A shift in scenarios reduces the emission and production cost of bioethanol.
