Abstract
► Employment of animal bones waste as a catalyst in transesterification of palm oil. ► Calcinations of the animal bones led to increased catalytic activity. ► Characterization of the hydroxyapatite catalyst formed from the calcined animal bone waste by SEM, XRD, EDS and FTIR. ► Cost effective and environment friendly catalyst to produce biodiesel. ► 96.78% yield of biodiesel from the palm oil transesterification using animal bone derived hydroxyapatite catalyst.
