Abstract
► Efficient degradation of rhamnolipids under both aerobic and nitrate-reducing conditions. ► Preferential biodegradation of rhamnolipids over diesel oil was observed. ► Rhamnolipids enhanced the biodegradation rate only for B20 diesel/biodiesel blends. ► Microbial community structure was not affected by rhamnolipids.
