Abstract
► The algal hydrolysate can improve enzymatic hydrolysis of lignocellulose. ► The algal hydrolysate had functions of pH buffer and peptide/amino acid provider. ► The glucose yield was greatly increased using algal hydrolysate as the solution. ► Combining cellulosic/algal biomass provides a new pathway for biofuels production.
