Abstract
⺠The effect of the femtosecond laser irradiation on Rhizopus oryzae was investigated. ⺠A stable high-yielding fumaric acid mutant was obtained under the optimal condition. ⺠Higher titer (49.4 g/L) and yield (0.56 g/g) were achieved by mutant strain in 7.5 L fermentor. ⺠Metabolic profiling revealed the differences between the mutant and parental strain.
