Abstract
⺠Ultrasounds as intensification technology within biorefinery processes was investigated. ⺠Partial degradation of hemicelluloses at short ultrasounds treatments was observed. ⺠Polysaccharides decomposed into monomers during black liquor sonication. ⺠No structural changes in the isolated lignin samples were observed.
