Abstract
⺠HCOOH can easily be reduced to CH3OH under hydrothermal conditions using Zn and Cu. ⺠Cu or Cu/ZnO may act as the active catalyst. ⺠Combined with past result, the conversion of carbohydrate to CH3OH could be achieved.
