Abstract
⺠Thin stillage contains a variety of compounds that are ideal for fungal growth. ⺠Pythium irregulare is a good EPA producer by utilizing thin stillage as sole nutrient source. ⺠The biomass of P. irregulare contains a balanced content of protein, lipid and carbohydrate. ⺠Thin stillage concentration and temperature are important parameters for the fungal culture. ⺠The fungal culture generated a nutrient-depleted liquid from raw thin stillage.
