Abstract
⺠Product balance and enzymatic hydrolysis after steam refining and explosion. ⺠Higher amount of volatiles condensed from the vapour phase after steam refining. ⺠No significant difference was found after enzymatic hydrolysis of the fibers. ⺠Decrease of particle size is the decisive factor to enhance enzymatic accessibility.
