Abstract
► Schizophyllum commune could be used for biotransformation of flavone in Fructus sophorae. ► Sophoricoside was firstly metabolized to compound (2), and then to compound (3) and (4). ► The content of compound (2) was increased by more than 30-fold by biotransformation. ► New compound (3) had cytotoxic activity with an IC50 of 12.1 nmol/ml against MCF-7 cells.
