Abstract
► Aspergillus sp. BCRC 31742 was used to produce glucosamine (GlcN). ► Kinetics analysis of GlcN production at different dissolved oxygen (DO) levels. ► A two-stage DO control strategy was proposed to enhance GlcN production. ► The highest GlcN titer reached 14.37 g/L, which was 1.30 times that without DO control. ► The proposed DO control strategy is useful for the other filamentous fungi fermentations.
