Abstract
⺠We established NMMO-cellulase compatible system for improved in situ saccharification. ⺠Cellulose is activated and solubilized, while cellulase is stable and active in our system. ⺠Ultrasound assisted in situ hydrolysis resulted in enhanced saccharification rate. ⺠The data of viscosity and FTIR analysis revealed that biomass structure was disrupted. ⺠Trifle lignin in our system might protect the cellulase as antioxidant and favor the conversion.
