Abstract
⺠Whole cell biocatalysis using lyophilized cells of Pichia etchellsii without any chemical treatment. ⺠Biotransformation of Methyl glucoside into Hexyl glucoside, Octyl glucoside, Decyl glucoside and Dodecyl glucoside. ⺠Optimization of HPLC operating conditions for analysis of higher chain length alkyl glucosides. ⺠Designing of reactor for large scale synthesis of alkyl glucosides. ⺠Use of inexpensive glucosyl donor i.e., methyl glucoside for large scale synthesis of higher chain length alkyl glucoside.
