Abstract
⺠Degradation of Phenanthrene by Pseudomonasstutzeri at flask and bioreactor scale. ⺠Operation in stirred tank bioreactor allowed 90% of bioremediation in about 2 days. ⺠Phenanthrene biodegradation takes places via protocatechuate pathway. ⺠Logistic and Luedeking and Piret equations adequately correlated experimental data. ⺠Economic viability of a 350,000 m3/year-effluent was assessed from simulation data.
