Abstract
⺠Ulva lactuca macro algae is a novel source which has been used as first time. ⺠Six pretreatment methods were used to achieve maximum extraction of oil yield. ⺠The extraction parameters were optimized and kinetic study was performed in detail. ⺠Under optimized conditions, 10.88% (g/g) of oil extraction yield was achieved. ⺠The activation energy (Ea) for oil extraction was calculated as 63.031 kJ/mol.
