Abstract
► We isolated a 2-DG resistant mutants of Rhizopus oryzae for improvement of glucoamylase. ► The mutant could be applied in SSF of starch with its own glucoamylase utilization. ► The glucoamylase activity of the mutant is 2.57-time higher than that of the parent. ► The mutant showed higher fumaric acid production by SSF of starchy materials.
