Abstract
⺠Arsenic tolerance and accumulation capacity of Spartina densiflora were analyzed. ⺠S. densiflora was able to survive at concentrations higher than 6.7 mmol lâ1 As. ⺠S. densiflora did not show clear phytotoxicity symptoms at leaf concentrations up to 90 mg kgâ1 As. ⺠Arsenic concentration in roots was 27 times greater than in the nutrient solution. ⺠This finding suggests that this species might be of interest for As remediation.
