Abstract
► Neochloris oleoabundans appears to tolerate high PO2 levels upon to 0.63 bar. ► At PO2=0.84bar a decrease of N. oleoabundans growth was found. ► At sub-saturating light photorespiration appeared to be the cause of inhibition. ► Increasing the CO2 partial pressure can offset the impact of photorespiration. ► N. oleoabundans production (using diluted light) with lower energy requirements.
