Abstract
⺠Palm empty fruit bunch (EFB) ash is used for the first time as a heterogeneous solid catalyst. ⺠Simple heating is needed for catalyst development. ⺠Biodiesel is produced over EFB ash by the transesterification of Jatropha oil. ⺠Incorporation of KOH improves the activity.
