Abstract
⺠Novel microwave system has been successfully designed for waste utilisation. ⺠Using this intensified system for cellulosic waste 30% of glucose was obtained. ⺠A high selectivity for glucose over other sugars has been observed. ⺠The optimum conversion temperature was found around 220 °C. ⺠The system does not require any additives such as base or acid.
