Abstract
To preserve closed-loop stability and performance, the actuator loss in aircraft control systems is usually compensated by increasing the activity of the operational actuators. For those, the risk of magnitude and rate saturations becomes extremely high which may result in performance and even stability degradation. Based on structured H∞ optimization, an anti-windup compensator is designed to preserve stability and maintain the performance level as close as possible to the nominal case.
