Abstract
With advances in technology, there has been a gradual move away from the historical reliance on lectures as the main means of educating students. This paper presents a case study from a control engineering department on the use of short video snippets as an embellishment to lectures and other learning resources. Discussion is focussed on the efficacy for student learning and a cost/benefit analysis on the effort required to prepare such resources as well as potential future uses.
