Abstract
A recent and novel research movement has seen the application of Control Theory and Techniques to the administration of computing systems, in a closed-loop management. While most previous works rely on continuous models, we more originally consider the issues that can be posed and solved as discrete supervisory control problems. We adopt a tool-based approach, with a reactive programming language, and its compiler based on discrete controller synthesis (DCS). We illustrate our approach on networks and servers management problems.
