Abstract
- MCM-41 was modified by 3-aminopropyltrimetoxysilane and trimethylchlorosilane.
- Two different post-synthetic methods were applied for particle functionalization.
- The mesopores of the particles were preserved even after functionalization.
- The inherent properties of organosilanes affected external and internal structures.
- The grafting methods had a tremendous impact on the obtained treated particles.
