Abstract
- We modified the hydrophilic steel substrate into hydrophobic by using CTAB SAM.
- Proposed CTAB inhibition efficiency in different pH solution.
- SAM reduced corrosion rate by 4 times in 1Â M HCl compared to bare steel.
- In 3.5% NaCl corrosion rate reduced by 1.5 times compared to bare steel.
