Abstract
The use of Staudinger-Vilarrasa reaction is an efficient pathway to prepare original monomers for hydrophobic and superhydrophobic surfaces preparation. That work shows the synthesis of various monomers bearing hydrophobic chains (alkyl, aryl and perfluoroalkyl). The work also includes electropolymerization of the formed monomer, study of the surface properties and morphologies depending on the hydrophobic chain and the number of deposition scans.
