Abstract

- VOC-free self-emulsifying hybrid alkyd-acrylic dispersions with solid content of 40%, waterborne were synthesized.
- The properties of the hybrid dispersion were studied using a mixture experimental design.
- Optimal composition meeting that fully meeting the coating exigencies has been proposed.
- Stable coating with good gloss and accepted drying time was obtained from the optimal composition.
