Abstract
AbstractIn this paper we propose different Sliding Mode Control (SMC) strategies to control slug-flow oscillations in submarine oil-risers. The main idea is to design a switching control law that induces a sliding bifurcation on the system, changing its dynamics and, in this way, controlling the amplitude of a limit cycle. Simulation results were obtained using OLGA Scandpower software in order to compare the different SMC strategies.
