Abstract

This paper gives a brief survey of several ideas in the literature on how to increase student enthusiasm and engagement with learning by incorporating multimedia production into assignments. A description is given on how these ideas have been adopted with the scenario of control engineering for bioengineers. Evidence of student work and student reflections of the efficacy of this approach, and indeed the excellent student feedback, are provided.
