Abstract
This paper describes the concept of High Voltage Shore Connection and its possible application in Croatian ports. All the variants of High Voltage Shore Connection configurations are considered with regards to IEC/ISO/IEEE 80005-1 standard. Each solution of the port network topology is presented with its advantages and drawbacks. The focus of this article is structured around the formation of the Point of Common Coupling between the Port network and the Utility network. Depending on the electric power required by the port, there are several possible configurations that will be presented. The existing medium voltage network of the Utility and the Croatian Grid Rules will serve as the base to provide the guidelines for the solution of this problem.
